Terms of use

These terms describe the use of Istanpurr and this website, provided by Vahit İlker Sarıca in Türkiye. Please read them before using the service. If you do not agree, do not use it. If you are not legally able to agree to these terms on your own, involve a parent or guardian as required by the laws where you live.

The app and its license

Istanpurr helps you photograph cats, create stickers, keep a personal collection, and explore neighborhood sightings. The app downloaded from the App Store is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. These service terms supplement that license; they do not replace it or limit rights you have under applicable law. Istanpurr’s name, design, code, and bundled artwork belong to their respective rights holders.

Respect cats, people, and places

Use Istanpurr lawfully and responsibly. Do not disturb, chase, harm, or put animals at risk to obtain a photo. Respect private property, people’s privacy, and local rules. Do not use the service to harass anyone, publish unlawful or infringing material, create misleading sightings, access another person’s data, or disrupt the service.

Your photos and collection

You retain your rights in the photos and information you add. Only add material you own or are permitted to use. Istanpurr needs permission to process that material to provide the features you use, including making stickers, saving collection records, and displaying shared sightings. This permission is limited to operating the service; it does not transfer ownership of your content or allow us to sell your photos.

In this version, photos and stickers are processed and stored on your device, and are not uploaded by Istanpurr. Cloud collection records are not a backup of your photo library and cannot restore your photos or stickers after they are lost. Keep separate copies of photos you want to preserve.

Community sightings and location

Location access is optional. When an encounter has an identifiable neighborhood, the app shares its neighborhood-level location, date, and cat type on the community map, associated with an anonymous account ID. Other users see representative illustrations rather than your photos. Exact coordinates are kept in private account records and are not included in community records. See the privacy policy for details.

Sightings may be approximate, outdated, or inaccurate. They do not guarantee that a cat is still there, belongs to a particular person, or needs assistance. Image-based labels and estimates may also be wrong. Istanpurr is not a veterinary, rescue, emergency, or animal-ownership verification service.

Privacy and deletion

Our privacy policy explains anonymous accounts, cloud records, analytics, permissions, and data retention. In the app, Settings → Delete All Data removes your local collection, cloud records, community entries, and anonymous account. An internet connection is required to complete this action. Previously sent analytics events are not automatically deleted by it. Contact us for help with a privacy request. Deleting the app alone does not request deletion of server records.

Purchases and subscriptions

This version has no in-app purchases or subscriptions. If paid features are introduced later, their price and conditions will be shown before you choose to purchase them. These terms do not authorize any automatic enrollment or charge.

Service availability and misuse

Some features need internet access, device permissions, or third-party services. We may maintain, update, change, or discontinue features, and cannot promise uninterrupted access or error-free results. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice of material changes affecting your use.

We may remove shared records or restrict access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, a security issue, a legal requirement, or a breach of these terms. You can contact support to raise a concern or request a review. You may stop using the service at any time and use the deletion controls described above.

Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer protections or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Your statutory rights, including any remedies available where you live, remain unaffected. We do not promise that every sighting, image analysis, or third-party service will be accurate or suitable for a particular purpose.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The current version and its update date will be available here. We will provide notice of material changes where required and obtain consent where the law requires it. Changes do not remove rights that have already arisen under applicable law.
